Jennifer Clark / Double Bass / Bass Guitar

From my earliest days of playing music, I have always had a passion for arrangement and orchestration. My first efforts were transcriptions of piano music onto 8-bit computers in the Eighties - a tricky task, given that sequencers were not available on these machines at that time! When I started playing in bands as a teenager, I found that I had an intuitive understanding of how all the instruments worked, and the ability to direct the individual musicians towards a common result - the whole being greater than the sum of the parts. Throughout my career I've been given many opportunities to develop this ability, and have been privileged to write arrangements for some excellent groups of musicians.

If you'd like me to arrange music for your project, from a simple chord chart  to sheet music for a large ensemble, or to help direct a group of musicians, reading or non-reading, towards a professional musical result, please get in touch.

My arrangements have included;

bulletString ensemble and quartet arrangements for Horse.
bulletBig Band for Frank Holden.
bulletString ensemble arrangements for Itchycoo Park.
bulletScottish Festival Strings - vocal and instrumental pieces.
bullet"Dusty Springfield Tribute" - five piece band + 3 vocals.
