I teach electric bass to students of all levels of ability,
with lessons available in all aspects of bass playing, including
technique, music theory, improvisation and reading. I believe that good general
musicianship is the key to successful bass playing, and my teaching
approach reflects this, emphasising not just individual aspects of the
bass, but also how it fits together in a wider musical context.
Lessons are tailored to the individual student and rates are negotiable. As well as doing private tuition, I also teach at the Soundbase music school in the Arches arts centre, which is within easy walking distance of all the major train and bus stations in Glasgow.
